We are looking for a new dental assistant.  They must have the following qualifications.

In our office there is a lot of joking and teasing.  We try and creat a non- threatening, fun atmosphere for our patients.

We specialize in solving difficult dental problems.  We do adult dentistry with a strong emphasis on dental implants, dentures, crowns and bridges.

Our dental exams are very complete.  Our assistants take the complete medical and dental history, are taught to check the 12 cranial nerves, check the muscles of the head neck and shoulders.  They take a full mouth x-ray series using digital x-rays.  They chart the current restorations.  We then chart the decay, intraoral problems, we chart the condition of the gums and the bite.  We review the problems, options and pros and cons of each option with the patient.  The assistant is responsible to then type up the entire exam and to thoroughly cover the things we discuss in her report.

All of our progress notes are typed by the assistant and must be very complete.  We believe that this helps the patients understand what is and has been done for them and helps eliminate misunderstandings.  The patients may have copies of their notes any time they ask.

Our assistants learn to make temporary crowns and are intimately involved with patients as they try and help the patient acheive the nicest smile possible.  There is a tremendous amount of assistant involvement in most aspects of patient treatment.

Our hours are:

Monday 8-5 with lunch from 1-2.

Tuesday 10-7 with lunch from 3-4.

Thursday 7-3 straight through.

We are off Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
