DENTURE INFORMATION

*** Dentures need to be removed at night. Your gums need a 8 hour rest, just like the rest of your body.

*** When removing your dentures, fill the sink with water so if your dentures fall, they go splash, not crack.

*** You need to brush your dentures with a hand brush at least twice a day. We have denture brushes for $5.

*** Never use hot water because the denture may warp.

*** When your teeth are not in your mouth put them in a cool glass of water with cleanser. One teaspoon of bleach in a cup of water works well. Metal partials should only be cleaned in commercial cleansers like Efferent or Oxyfresh.

*** Dentures also accumulate tartar. If you find tartar on your denture, you may remove the tartar by soaking your denture in a cup with a mixture of ½ Limeaway bathroom cleanser and ½ cup water. Let it soak overnight, and then brush the denture clean in the morning.

*** Denture adjustments can better be done in my office instead of your shop. After they have been adjusted they should be polished.

*** If you have overdentures you should be using Prevident. This is a prescription that will be provided by us. If we have forgotten to give it to you, please remind us.

*** We have Ultrasonic cleaners available for $15.

*** If you have any questions please call the office at 702-367-4121.
